Andrea has over 25 years of experience riding, training, and showing horses at the elite level. Andrea grew up riding at the young age of 5 and was immediately deemed a “natural.” With the help of many great trainers, she has competed and won in every English discipline from hunters, jumpers, equitation, dressage, and eventing. Andrea successfully competed through the Preliminary/CIC** level in eventing. With a lot of hard work, training, and a fabulous horse, she competed at the North American Young Rider Championships at age 16: her proudest accomplishment.
Andrea is also a recipient of the Glynis Roth Memorial Award given to the person who demonstrates the most enthusiasm, dedication, and sportsmanship in the sport of eventing. After securing the Area V Young Rider Championship at the Preliminary level in 2006, Andrea retired her Preliminary horse and set her sights on bringing up off-the-track thoroughbreds to the sport. Andrea rode for Baylor University’s NCAA Varsity Equestrian Team for all 4 years of her college career, where she was a Letter-winner and was nominated to the Baylor Leadership Academy. Her senior year, the team earned the NCAA National Championship title.
Today, Andrea competes in eventing with her Thoroughbred/Holsteiner Bombay Sapphire. She continues to attend clinics, lessons, and seminars with other top professionals as she believes learning in this sport is unlimited. Andrea offers a wealth of knowledge and experience, and works with all level riders, even tiny tots and those who have never been on a horse before. Her teaching style is patient, yet fun and challenging. Andrea is also a Certified Personal Trainer with an advanced understanding of biomechanics and riding correctly & effectively.
